Linking to a Cengage Course

This tutorial assumes that you have a pre-existing Cengage account set up and have been provided by your Cengage rep with a key, secret, and launch URL. If this is not the case, acquire those from Cengage before starting. 

1. Go to your course and click on the Settings tab in the left-hand course menu. 
2. Click the Apps tab at the top of the page. 
3. Locate the Cengage app and click it, then click +Add App. 
4. Input your key, secret, and launch URL. 
5. Go to the Navigation tab of your course settings.
6. There are two options for this step:
   1. Scroll to the bottom of the list and locate the Cengage list item, drag and drop it into your main course menu. 
   2. Alternatively, add Cengage into a module using the External Tool option and picking Cengage from the menu. 
7. Click on the new Cengage link and connect your Cengage and Canvas accounts.
8. Locate your course content in Cengage's content selector and then click Link to Course.
9. Choose the course option that applies to you and fill out any information fields, then click Continue. 
10. Choose how you want to synchronize grades and click Continue.
